Nashwauk is a small village in northern Minnesota with a population of about 900 people. It was founded in the late 1800s as a mining town, and iron mining continues to be the primary industry in the area to this day. The village is home to a number of historic sites, including the Nashwauk Area Historical Society Museum, which showcases the history of the area's mining industry, and the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, which was built in the early 1900s and features beautiful stained glass windows. Outdoor recreation is also popular in Nashwauk, with several lakes and parks in the vicinity offering opportunities for fishing, boating, and hiking.
