Norwood Young America is a small town located about 35 miles southwest of the Twin Cities in Carver County, Minnesota. According to the latest census, the population in 2019 was 3,754.

The town was formed in 1997 when the two towns of Norwood and Young America merged. It is a quite residential town, with a mix of families and retirees.

The town has a number of parks and recreation facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, ball fields and playgrounds. There are several small businesses, a library, and a weekly newspaper.

In terms of education, Norwood Young America has three schools within the Central Public Schools district, including the elementary school, middle school, and high school. There is also a private school, St. John's Lutheran School.
