Scriba is a town located in Oswego County, New York, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 55.8 square miles, of which, 53.2 square miles is land and 2.6 square miles is water. The town was named in honor of George Scriba, a land agent who purchased a large tract of land in the area. Today, the town is mainly residential and agricultural, with a few small businesses and industries. It is located near Lake Ontario, which provides recreational opportunities for residents and tourists. Some popular attractions in the area include the Oswego Speedway, Oswego Harborfest, and Fort Ontario. The population of Scriba was 6,840 as per the 2010 census.
