One of the most significant historical events in Pasadena, California was the Tournament of Roses Parade. The first Tournament of Roses Parade was held on January 1, 1890, as a way for Pasadena residents to showcase their beautiful flowers and mild winter weather to the rest of the country. The parade quickly became a beloved tradition, not only in Pasadena but across the United States. In 1902, the tradition of the Rose Bowl Game began, which made the parade even more popular.

Today, the Tournament of Roses Parade is one of the most famous and longest-running parades in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators to Pasadena every New Year's Day. The parade features elaborate floats decorated entirely with flowers, marching bands, equestrian units, and various other performers. The Rose Bowl Game has also become one of the most highly anticipated college football games of the year.
