It is famous for its annual Christmas lights display, where the village is completely transformed into a winter wonderland with over 500,000 lights decorating the trees, houses, and streets. The tradition of the lights began in 1956 when local textile mills decorated their factory buildings to spread holiday cheer. Today, the entire town participates in the festivities and visitors come from all over to experience the magical display.
